- I had a similar experience. My brother's father-in-law had a 1987 'vette he was selling, it slipped through my fingers when the first offer he had stopped hemming and hawing and bought it. I gave me the fever, then I discovered the 35th anniversary edition that came out in 1988 and found mine ina garage of a 60 year old lady who bought it new and never really got to drive it becaue her husband commandeered it and put it out on the car show circuit. I bought it with 5700 miles on it four years ago, it now still has under 8K miles on it

Description:
Happened to see a 1988 Corvette advertised on a web site. Sparked my interest and then I did a little more research and found that the 35th Anniversary Corvette was made that year. I then did a little more browsing and reading and came across 1656 at Lucky Motors in Chicago. A thousand dollar deposit, some questioning of "What am I doing", booked a flight to Chicago, took a test drive, wondered what I was doing and finally paid cash for the car.
Thakyou Lucky
